“The first person on Mars is likely to be a woman,” said NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine in a recent interview.
He added that the next person to step foot on the moon will also be a woman, a first for females and the first since the successful 1972 mission.
With the impending all women's spacewalk taking place later this month, it is a very important and progressive time to be female in space. Women once made up only 6 of all personnel at NASA and are now over 34% of their entire astronaut program.
With these amazing women demolishing barriers to the deep unknown, it is time to unite hand in hand and push ever hard into the beyond.
