Australias Unique Position to Explore & Understand the Universe

Australia's geographic position presents unique opportunities for space research and exploration. Australia has held long term partnerships with international space agencies. One great example, is the use of the dish in Parkes NSW to rebroadcast the signal from Apollo 11’s successful moonwalk to the rest of the world.

In order to move forward as a country, a dedicated Australian space program will allow for further international collaboration as well as boosting the economy by an estimated $4 billion whilst creating around 11.5 thousand jobs.

It’s a large but an important step to take. We believe it will be “One small step for a man, one giant leap for down under.”
